Bach.

English version

Dreamers’ Circus is relatively a new Danish/Swedish trio which recorded their second album ‘Second Movement’ with music more intense than their debut ‘A Little Symphony’ from 2013. In a Norwegian musical environment Ale Carr, Rune Sørensen Tonsgaard and Nikolaj Busk play contemporary folk on violin, keyboards and string instruments.

Dreamers’ Circus was formed spontaneously after a concert in 2009. The trio played a folk version of the Fifth Piano Concerto by Mozart. This cross-over between classical music and Scandinavian folk proved to be such a success that these outstanding musicians decided to start a trio. After the EP ‘Dreamers Circus‘ from 2010 and the full début ‘A Little Symphony’ (2013 – in collaboration with the Danish String Quartet and The European Brass Travelling Carnival) the successor ‘Second Movement’ was released spring 2015. A predominantly folk album where different styles easily flow through each other. Beat and tempo changes are so organicly that the music easily glides from one part to the other, and therefore have a natural course. It’s all played so virtuoso which makes the pieces sound ‘a kind of automatically’ and so ‘easy’. Dreamers’ Circus tells a musical story, lovely open music with no fear of the old-time-movement of the 60’s folk. The compositions on ‘Second Movement’ are all originals, written by the three members. Besides ‘Prelude to the Sun’, which is based a partita by JS Bach. Acrobatic musicianship played on fiddle, acoustic guitars, piano, accordion, harmonium, harpsichord and synthesizer. In this way the word ‘Circus’ is declared; besides the word ‘Dreamers’. But you ‘dream’ automatically when you hear this wonderful music!
